We regret that we do not have the resources to be able to help directly with genealogical research. However, people tracing their family histories may find the following sources useful:

Civic Resources

Glasgow City Council's website includes a Genealogy Centre with extensive information.

The Mitchell Library holds many archived church records.

National Resources

The National Archives of Scotland in Edinburgh and its Scotland's People website are the official Government sources of genealogical data for Scotland.

Scots Origins offers a facility for searching certificates and census records.

Church Resources

Refer to the Mitchell Library for old church records or to the offices of individual denominations, which are listed on our Links page.
